Of course, some islands in the Caribbean are too pricey.

This begins to add up and we know most tourists are going to be on a budget. If you want to visit the Caribbean islands on a budget, you are going to have to know which places are cheaper than the others.

We have done some of the legwork for you because we have been in the same position in the past.

Here are the cheapest Caribbean islands to visit right now.

Affordable Caribbean Islands To Visit

La Romana (Dominican Republic)

Let’s begin with the beautiful La Romana.

We adore this place because it’s a charming tourist destination that has some of the finest resorts in the region. The service at these resorts is great and you are going to be facing the water with picturesque views as well.

People who are looking for a classy, well-meaning tourist destination will want to consider La Romana in the Dominican Republic.

Punta Cana is often the first choice for tourists but you can save a bit of money if you come to La Romana.

Varadero (Cuba)

Cuba is a remarkable place and quite underrated.

We wanted to explore this beautiful nation and took the time to stay in Varadero. We found this region of Cuba to be exciting because numerous tourists were mulling around having a good time and cruises were coming in too.

This is an affordable Caribbean destination if you are looking to enjoy the beach, explore the city, and just have a good time.

The people in Cuba know how to have fun and you will want to join them.

Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic)

Now, we will take a look at another tourist spot in the Dominican Republic.

Puerto Plata is a fascinating place because the views are gorgeous, the beaches are to die for, and you are going to fall in love with the food. This is in the northern half of the country and it’s a breathtaking sight when you come during the warmer season.

We adored our time here because it had great resorts and a lot of historic architecture too. We recommend visiting the inner city to explore it further.

You are going to enjoy it just as much as you would in Punta Cana.

Plus, you are going to save quite a bit of money too!

Negril (Jamaica)

When we looked at the top places to live in Jamaica, it’s easy to mention Negril.

It is not only a beautiful tourist spot but it’s also a great place to live for expats. This is one of those charming Caribbean islands that is going to win you over and we appreciated the overall experience we had in Negril.

Negril is close to the Montego Bay Airport and it has remarkably beautiful beaches.

You are going to love sitting by the water and getting your money’s worth here. The culture is robust and the hotels are clean. We loved Negril and all that it had to offer.

Grenada

We have talked about the pros and cons of Grenada before, but this is also one of the most affordable places to visit in the Caribbean.

It is not just about the beaches but also the natural elements surrounding the region.

For example, the greenery is beautiful and you are also going to appreciate the viewpoints throughout Grenada. It is a charming spot and if you find a good resort, you are going to get the best spots on the beaches that are close to them.

A lot of people don’t come here but that is what makes it great.

Cancun (Mexico)

This is an obvious one and it is one of the premier tourist destinations in this part of the world.

You are going to want to have a wonderful time and that’s where Cancun shines. Let’s be honest, everyone wants to go to Cancun but there is a reason for it.

The region is built for tourism and it’s easy to enjoy good food whenever you are here. We had a lovely time in Cancun and love going back whenever we get the chance because it’s still affordable for such a premier hotspot.

Samaná (Dominican Republic)

Samana is one of those regions where you are going to get the best of everything.

The views are picturesque, the people are wonderful, and you are going to gain access to beautiful beach-facing resorts. We took the time to compare the resorts and chose one that was right by the beach.

This was a great decision because they have modernized their resorts and the beaches are tranquil. You can easily find a spot on one of these beaches when you are here and relax under the sun with the rustling waves.

We would also recommend some of the water activities that take place here. It’s a lot of fun and they have put a lot of time into making sure the region is safe for tourists.

Montego Bay (Jamaica)

This is another charming hotspot in Jamaica and just as good as Negril.

We found this to be one of the cheaper places to visit in the Caribbean and it stood out because of its natural beauty. You are going to have a wonderful time enjoying the views in this breathtaking tourist destination while being able to mingle with the locals.

We love the general vibe of Jamaica.

It’s lively and the people are always looking to have a bit of fun. This makes it ideal to find a good resort in Montego Bay and appreciate your time with other tourists around.

Martinique

Are you someone who knows a bit of French?

If so, we would put Martinique right at the top of the list. You are going to feel right at home while being able to enjoy the good weather that is present in Martinique.

It is the first thing we noticed.

French is spoken throughout the region and that makes it ideal for French speakers. Plus, the beaches are breathtaking and you are also going to find it to be an affordable place because people prefer to go to English-speaking regions in the Caribbean.

We don’t think that’s much of a hurdle as you can adjust quickly.

Ocho Rios (Jamaica)

Ocho Rios is a popular tourist destination because of its wide array of quality resorts along the coastline.

We appreciated spending time here because it was affordable.

Ocho Rios is a quieter part of Jamaica, which means venturing into the town is not going to be as entertaining. However, the real fun is at the resorts because they are picturesque and you can save quite a bit of money along the way.

If you choose well, you are going to get to sit by the warm water, enjoy the sun, and just have fun on a clean beach.

For us, this is what a great holiday to the Caribbean islands is all about including Jamaica.

Punta Cana (Dominican Republic)

Of course, Punta Cana has to be on the list.

It’s one of the most popular places on the planet for a warm-weather vacation with beaches everywhere. The people here are friendly, the beaches are wonderful, and you are not going to have to spend a lot to find a spot here.

Punta Cana is a lot of fun.

The resorts are affordable and you can do all sorts of things when you are in the region.
