When it comes to different features in a hotel room, one of the more satisfying ones is going to be the hot tub.
A jacuzzi in the hotel room is going to bring a smile to your face.
While some will be focused on the age requirement of a hotel room or how to do laundry in a hotel, it’s always nice to take a moment to relax in the hotel room’s hot tub.
Here is more on how to use a hot tub in a hotel room.
How To Use A Hot Tub In A Hotel Room
Turn On The Water
The first step to using a jacuzzi in a hotel room is to turn on the water.
Now, this does not mean you are going to step inside the hot tub and then turn on the water! You need to let it flow into the hot tub and just use this as the time to test the water flow along with the temperature.
Otherwise, you will either end up dealing with frigid water or hot water that is not going to feel good to the touch.
For the most part, you are going to want to use your finger to gauge the temperature. However, a hot tub is also going to have temperature controls allowing you to regulate how hot or cold the water is. We recommend aiming for 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Let The Water Fill In The Tub
As soon as you are happy with the water’s temperature in the hot tub, it’s time to let the water fill in the tub.
The average hot tub is going to have what is known as a “fill line” on the side.
You can look for this fill line and then aim to fill the tub to this point. Be patient while doing this and make sure the water does not continue to flow in after this point. You are welcome to turn off the water as soon as it reaches the fill line.
Turn On The Motor
You are now going to turn on the hot tub motor.
There will be a noticeable on/off switch that is going to let you turn on the hot tub. This is designed to make sure the water is flowing as required and the water temperature is working based on when you want it to run.
For some hot tubs, the on/off button is on the side. However, some hotel rooms will have this button located on a nearby wall. Take your time to find it.
Test The Power Using Hot Tub Controls
When you have turned on the power, you are going to want to give the hot tub controls a test. This is going to be your way of learning how to use the hot tub the way it is supposed to be used.
As a result, the idea of jumping into the water is never a good idea.
Take your time to learn the controls.
Most hot tubs are going to have an “intensity” setting. This means you can increase or decrease the intensity of the jets with the help of this setting. Take your time to work up and down to see which intensity is right for you.
This is going to vary from person to person.
Set The Timer
You will also want to learn how to use the timer.
This revolves around learning how to make sure the hot tub is running for a specific amount of time. It is not mandatory to use this setting, but a lot of guests prefer to have this on.
It will allow you to get a better read on how long the hot tub is running and how long you have been in the hot tub.
Gently Enter The Hot Tub
At this point, the water should have filled the hot tub and the jets should be working as you want them to. You can always make additional adjustments based on what you wish to do in the hot tub.
We recommend gently entering the hot tub.
You don’t want to rush in as that might lead you to slip. Take your time and remember the hot tub can be slippery, especially if you have added bath products into the mix.
Turn Off The Hot Tub Motor
When you have taken the time to enjoy the hot tub, it’s best to turn off the hot tub motor.
This is going to make sure power is not running through to the hot tub as it was before. The jets are going to turn off and everything will go back to how it was before you used the on/off button.
Just turn off the hot tub motor and then step out of the water. You can dry yourself off at this point.
Drain The Hot Tub
At this point, you are going to want to drain the hot tub.
The water is going to be sitting as it was when you got out.
You should be able to let the water drain as soon as the main water supply has been turned off. This is going to take a few minutes depending on how much water is in the hot tub. Let it drain and then you can begin working on the next step in the process.
Clean The Hot Tub
You will likely want to clean the hot tub.
The idea here is going to be to make sure it is clean along the sides. This is where some of the soap is going to remain and it is ideal to wipe it.
You can use any type of cloth for this including what is offered by the hotel.
