Jurassic Quest Review (Local Opinion)

When you aren’t checking out the Temecula wines or visiting Yankee Jims in Sacramento, it’s time to head out to Jurassic Quest with the family.

Jurassic Quest is one of the more unique spots for families to visit.

If you are a fan of Jurassic Park and/or dinosaurs then it’s time to visit this fantastic attraction. It’s an exhibit that’s going to win you over.

For those who are unaware, Jurassic Quest is an indoor facility that has been set up for dinosaur enthusiasts. It takes a look at a wide array of dinosaurs including your favorites all in one spot through unique exhibits and interactive activities.

It is quite the sight for families and we always recommend bringing the kids out to Jurassic Quest.

Before doing this, it’s time to take a look at the pros and cons of Jurassic Quest for those who are considering going.

Pros Of Jurassic Quest

Gorgeous Exhibits

Most people are going to be heading to Jurassic Quest for the exhibits.

These are not going to disappoint.

They are not only informational but also aesthetically pleasing. Just being able to walk up to the dinosaurs will take your breath away. We are all grown up and there were a few dinosaurs that were simply outstanding to look at and stand by.

Anyone who loves dinosaurs is going to feel like they are right in the middle of things here!

Comfortable Setting

The setting is wonderful for all ages and that is important for the average visitor.

If you are paying for something, you are going to want to sure it’s comfortable. This is not going to be an issue here.

It’s all indoors.

This means it is climate-controlled and you are going to feel confident walking around with the kids.

Loads Of Things To Do For Kids

This is one thing you are going to enjoy about going to Jurassic Quest in Sacramento.

It is set up at the CalExpo and you are going to be looking at a selection of fun activities that are readily available for kids. This includes things such as interactive shows, photo stations, and even the rides that are set up around the dino theme.

We loved this part of the setup because it allowed us to enjoy the setting differently. It is not just about the exhibits here.

Cons Of Jurassic Quest

Long Waiting Times

Jurassic Quest is going to be busy depending on when you are going.

This means the waiting times are going to be long. It was not just with the rides but also when you’re looking at the exhibits and/or waiting for your food at the vendors.

The lines are going to get tedious with kids.

If possible, you should be going in the middle of the week.

Some Exhibits Are Old

This is one concern that has been noticed by people.

We realized that some of the exhibits were not working. This means they were not moving and that is off-putting when you have paid a premium to go inside!

Of course, this is not the case with all of the exhibits and it is only reserved for some of them because of how many there are. Just be patient and you are going to have a good time even when the exhibits are not working properly.

Pricey

Let’s be honest, you are going to end up paying quite a bit for Jurassic Quest.

If you are going with the family, it’s going to be a lot.

It’s common for people to end up spending $150+ here when it comes to tickets, food, and parking. Be prepared for this and set a budget to make sure you remain within it on-site.

Cost Of Jurassic Quest

What is the cost of Jurassic Quest in Sacramento?

The cost is going to be:

Adults: $22 Per Person

Kids: $22 Per Person

Seniors: $20 Per Person

Children Under 2: FREE

It’s also important to note this is not the only cost you are going to pay if you are driving to Jurassic Quest in Sacramento.

There is going to be a parking fee as soon as you park at the location. This is going to be around $10.

What about the food on-site?

The food is going to depend on which vendor you are going to. Various vendors are set up throughout the facility and it is designed for people to enjoy a wide array of food items based on what their taste buds require at the time.

This includes hot dogs, burgers, and more.

You are going to be paying a premium for this food, so be prepared for that element of the cost with a family.

Be Prepared For Your Time At Jurassic Quest

A lot of people don’t understand this, but you are going to be spending a few hours at Jurassic Quest.

This means it’s essential to be prepared.

You are going to want to have a plan in mind. This includes the type of food you are going to want to eat, how much you are going to be spending on-site, and what you want to take a look at. This is going to allow you to maximize your time with the exhibits and still get the most out of the other activities that are readily available to you.

This is how you are going to have a great time.

You will also want to consider the temperature in Jurassic Quest. It can be cold depending on the weather outside. This is why you will want to put on a sweater before going, especially when it comes to your kids.

It’s also recommended to have a few water bottles in hand.

Other food items will be available through the vendors, but you should have a water bottle or two on standby.

Final Thoughts

These are the pros and cons of Jurassic Quest in California.

We do recommend it for dino enthusiasts and those with kids. It is a lot of fun just walking around and those who are willing to pay the premium amount are going to have a great time.

We also believe it’s fun to check out scary hotels in California, visit museums in Los Angeles, and head out to the Los Angeles flower fields for a bit of fun.
