We have been to hundreds of beaches over the years including some of the finest in Florida too.

This has given us ample experience when it comes to going to a beach in Florida and having a good time. One of the experiences we wanted to have involved horseback riding.

We wanted to get on a horse and just roam around with the waves on one side adding to the ambiance. It’s a picturesque memory and something you are not going to get to create in other places.

So, with this in mind, where can you go horseback riding in Florida if you want to do it on a beach?

We took the time to find the top spots and why they are the best.

Top Horseback Riding Beaches In Florida

Amelia Island

Amelia Island is such an underrated gem when it comes to fun activities on the beach.

We took the time to walk around this beautiful area, explore the beach, and just have a good time. At first, we just wanted to lounge on the sand and look out at the warm water but then we saw some horseback riding going on!

This is when our minds kicked into high gear and we took the time to reach out to Happy Trail Walking Horses.

They made sure to help us get a horse for the beach.

Ponte Vedra

Ponte Vedra is a world-class experience and one of those beaches that are going to bring a smile to your face.

We adored our time here and it was one of those experiences that we fell in love with.

The beach does allow horse riding but you are going to have to get permission. As long as you do this, you can bring a horse to go riding here.

Now, this is going to be one of the rarest experiences you are going to have when it’s time to take a horse onto the beach in Florida.

Why is this?

You are going to get the chance to not only ride a horse on the beach but also go into the water with them! Yes, the horses are capable of doing that and there is a service that offers this type of experience to those who want to be adventurous.

We were stunned when we heard about this!

It’s such a fascinating thing to deal with but it was great. We had the chance to dip into the water with the horses and also ride them around.

Cape San Blas

When going to Cape San Blas, it’s common to want to enjoy your time on the beach.

We enjoyed this beautiful location because it was not just the warmth and ambiance that won us over. We were in love with the horseback riding that took place here on the beach because it was a boatload of fun.

You can take the time to reach out to Two-bit Stables and they will be more than happy to hook you up. They are well-known on the beach as the number-one horseback riding provider in Cape San Blas and will get the job done for you.

The setting is beautiful and it’s remarkable to be able to ride a horse on the beach in Florida. You are not going to get this type of experience in other parts of America.

Canaveral National Seashore

The Canaveral National Seashore is one of those prime spots that are gorgeous because you are not going to be dealing with a lot of people around.

We don’t prefer high-traffic beaches in Florida.

It’s better to go to a place such as this where it’s private. They will be more than happy to give you space as long as you bring a horse for the experience. If you find a service that can do this for you, it’s easy to have fun on the beach here.

St. Augustine

This particular beach is one where you are not going to have a horse riding service in the area. This means you are going to have to find a way to get a horse yourself.

However, you are allowed to bring the horse onto the beach!

So, it is still a beautiful experience and one you are going to enjoy.

Fort Pierce

Fort Pierce is a unique place and most people don’t think too much about it as a place to go horseback riding.

However, we loved riding horses here.

You can reach out to the local service in town that offers horses. They will be more than happy to let you hop onto a horse and rent one for an hour or so. We took up this offer and had a lovely time because Fort Pierce has a unique view.
