Where Was Schitt’s Creek Filmed? (Tourist Guide)

Schitt’s Creek is one of the most popular Canadian shows to ever been released and it gained critical acclaim over the years.

We visited Canada in October and felt it was best to check out some of the filming locations for Schitt’s Creek while we were in town.

Since we had to do this from scratch, we had to do a bit of homework!

You will have to go to one of the most expensive cities in the world to see where Schitt’s Creek was shot. This comes in the form of Toronto.

Let’s take a look at where Schitt’s Creek was filmed.

Filming Locations For Schitt’s Creek

Goodwood, Ontario

What about the town itself? All of those exterior shots were integral to positioning Schitt’s Creek as a classic town and one that is lived in.

For that to happen, the team used Goodwood, Ontario as the base for its external shots.

This includes a wide array of businesses that were shown in Schitt’s Creek such as the Rose Apothecary, Bob’s Garage, and others. We also took the time to stop at the town hall, which was seen in Schitt’s Creek along with the various streets in Goodwood.

We highly recommend stopping in Goodwood as a fan because it will feel like you walked into Schitt’s Creek itself!

The Rosebud Motel

If you think of Schitt’s Creek, you are going to think of the motel.

This has to be the premier shooting location fans are going to be on the lookout for in Ontario. We wanted to make sure to go to the right spot to find the famous Rosebud Motel.

We were able to find it.

This is a motel that is close to Orangeville and it is a charming place that you are going to love. The address is 308399 Hockley Rd, Orangeville, ON L9W 2Z2.

Pinewood Studios

Whenever there was a shot inside a building or a room, all of these shoots took place in the beautiful Pinewood Studios.

Pinewood Studios is situated in Toronto and is one of the main areas where this show was shot.

It is situated at 225 Commissioners St, Toronto, ON M4M 0A1, and continues to be one of the more revered studios in the region.

It’s important to note that not all of these indoor scenes were shot at Pinewood Studios, others were shot elsewhere in other studios.

Elmbridge Manor (Graydon Hall Manor)

There is a scene in Schitt’s Creek where a wedding takes place. This is an important scene for the couple and they are looking to find a beautiful wedding venue that will suit their needs.

This venue is none other than the gorgeous Elmbridge Manor.

This particular location is situated in the heart of Toronto. Its address is 85 Graydon Hall Dr, Toronto, ON M3A 3B1.

We loved this spot because it’s ethereal due to its natural beauty. Everything comes together beautifully and that demonstrates why it was chosen as the wedding venue.

Ted’s Clinic

Schitt’s Creek was home to a collection of businesses and one of them had to do with the vet’s clinic that Ted was running.

Yes, you can find the clinic if you want to!

It’s important to note that the team filming Schitt’s Creek wanted to keep things authentic when it came to the vet’s clinic and found a real one in Ontario!

The location itself goes by the name – Thicketwood Vetinerary Hospital and is situated at 6342 Main St, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 1G9.

Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area

Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area is one of the most charming areas in Ontario and it is often visited by the locals wanting to experience the region’s greenery and wildlife.

In Schitt’s Creek, this was the specific location where David proposed to Patrick.

It is an iconic moment and one that is important to fans. Of course, it also led to hilarious scenes during the process but we do recommend checking out Rattlesnake Point because it’s a heralded tourist spot regardless of whether you are a fan or not!

This is located in Milton.

The Herb Ertlinger Winery

Moira loved drinking wines and this passion was shown during various parts of the show.

One of those locations was the winery that was being promoted by Moira. She was given this responsibility and it led to several hilarious scenes during the process.

It was known as the Herb Ertlinger Winery but in real life, it is called the Applewood Farm and Winery. It’s situated in Stouffville at 12416 McCowan Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 4C5.

The Blouse Barn

Do you remember the boutique that was opened by David during Schitt’s Creek?

Well, this is a real location and one you can find if you are in Unionville. This is a real-life store that might not sell clothes but it does sell other items. If you are a fan, you might even want to buy something from here and take a look around!

The store’s name is Crock A Doodle.

The address is 159 Main St Unionville, Unionville, ON L3R 2G8.

Final Thoughts

These were the main Schitt’s Creek filming locations and you can visit all of them during your time in Ontario.

When looking at the top Canadian cities to live in, it’s common for people to mention Toronto. However, it also has a major role in pop culture, which is why fans of Schitt’s Creek should be coming out to this part of Ontario.
